I have told my children of my experiences in life having to do with politics, past presidents and horrible blows aimed at our country. Happenings such as Viet Nam, Watergate, the assassination of JFK and later RFK left people like me feeling hopeless and helpless to dream of anything different and positive. Although those times were unbelievably sad, I still will say that since George Bush made it into the White House it was the ultimate blow, threatening to take our country in directions it had never been before. Everything we stood for including our freedoms, privacy, and the Constitution in general was taken from us under the guise that the Executive office had that right. We all are well aware of the liberties he has taken with our lives, yet impeachment hasn’t happened. Bush and Cheney continue lining their pockets with riches being made at the expense of dying and maimed soldiers in Iraq not to mention our own sad state of affairs here.

Obama is bringing new hope to hungry downtrodden American citizens. Because of that, the appearance is that of chaos and people literally reaching their arms upwards toward the heavens.  Change Obama speaks of is held in such regard, one can actually feel it in the air.  Democats now have an opportunity to make it happen, to take the hope and turn it into reality.
